This song portrays our struggles as believers in Christ Jesus and also assures us of the power that’s been given to us by Jesus to defeat the power of Satan, stating that on our own, we can’t be victorious over Satan and his powers, but a total surrender to God’s will and His word is alone a victory.
Therefore, scripture tells us that “our struggles is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Eph. 6:12).
